Alessandro Mendini
After training at the studio of Marcello Nizzoli, in 1971 Mendini became director of the magazine Casabella, becoming the bearer of the demands of the radical movement. In 1976 he founded Modo magazine, and in 1979 untill 1985 he was the director of Domus. Theoretic and promoter of the renewal of the project of the eighties, he has signed some icons of anti-design such as the Armchair of Proust (1978). He has strongly contributed to the construction of companies such as Alessi, Bisazza and Swatch.
